The Power of Collaboration on The Sustainable Shift Podcast

“There’s less room for those doubts to come in when you’re working with somebody - they become your wing person.”

When Petria asked in her private Coco Rose Eco Facebook group, “Who wants to be a guest on my podcast?” I gingerly raised my hand. A podcast?! Me?! Talking to a bunch of people on the internet?!

Yup. I knew one of my fears had to be conquered.

And let me tell you, I am so glad I pushed myself to do this.

Chatting with Petria was a joy - she made it easy for me to be myself and was oh-so-patient when I had to stop because I fumbled my words. (Thank goodness for great audio editing, eh?)

Petria and I first crossed paths on Instagram. Not too long after connecting with her, I joined her online community, Coco Rose Eco, and boy, has it been so worth it. Petria brings a TON of value to this like-minded group of ecopreneurs, including her inspiring, info-packed podcast, The Sustainable Shift.

In this episode we covered a lot - but the main focus was the power of collaboration, and all the amazing ways partnerships can grow your business.

If you’ve been working solo for a while and you’re feeling the strain, maybe it’s time to think about forming some bonds with other entrepreneurs who can help lift you up. I know it’s been said a bunch, but I’ll take collaboration over competition any day.

Listen in here.

Here’s a quick run down of all the juiciness we talked about:

5:18 How (funnily enough!) great copy got me started copywriting.

10:44 My favourite part of the copywriting process.

12:39 Why skills from your previous life shouldn’t be discounted. In other words: my experiences as a professional artist and how these have helped me with my copywriting business.

16:16 About finding collaborative partners that you really vibe with (my first partnership/connection with RSweet Design).

19:05 Why working by yourself is so tough - and how collaboration can help.

25:50 Collaborating as an introvert.

29:30 On conquering those mindset monkeys and how collaboration can help you bring your “A” game.

33:05 Intuition - and choosing the perfect people to partner with (it’s kinda like dating!)

37:07 My one big tip for biz owners who are introverts (like me!)
